I am now more convinced than ever that our work to conquer family homelessness is essential to our communities’ health and prosperity.
Due to the economic challenges that continue to plague our state, more families are driven into poverty and homelessness each day. Arizona’s state budget remains in deficit. With no new revenue, Arizona will need to slash another $1 billion in funding to agencies like Save the Family Foundation of Arizona.
Our work here at Save the Family is crucial to the community. We help families conquer homelessness and create stronger, more promising futures for Arizona’s children.
Funding cuts of this magnitude would mean a loss of significant support for essential programs – and would cripple the already fragile network of education and services that help meet the needs of the families we serve — victims of domestic violence, homeless families, and youth at-risk.
I encourage you to vote YES on Proposition 100. Proposition 100 is a temporary 1¢ increase in the state sales tax that will generate funding for education, safety, and health and human services. Please support the work of Save the Family, and our local nonprofit partners, by voting YES on Proposition 100. Proposition 100 is a 1¢ investment in Arizona’s future!
